About this assembly
The Gmajna Cultural Society was founded in 2002 with the aim of carrying out non-profit activities in the field of culture, art, social protection and education.
The Gmajna Cultural Society is engaged in organizing educational workshops and meetings, providing counseling talks to foreigners, refugees, migrants and other deprivileged and stigmatized groups of the population, advocating the rights of foreigners, refugees and migrants both before state institutions and in wider society. The regular association also organizes cultural, educational and artistic events (concerts, literary evenings, round tables, lectures, international meetings, performative, fine arts, workshops in the field of self-organization and emancipation and others). The target groups of the Society are migrants, refugees, foreign workers, asylum seekers, stateless persons (stateless persons), persons with temporary deportation status, the erased, the homeless and other members of marginalised social groups. Particular emphasis is placed on young people up to 30 years of age, precarifered and elderly without a job or pension. The association operates mainly in the Osrednjeslovenska region
