Councils on local integration
At the table, we will discuss the Strategy for the integration of foreigners who are not citizens of the European Union into the cultural, economic and social life of the Republic of Slovenia, with special emphasis on the issue of local integration and integration in the city of Ljubljana. The discussion will aim to reflect on the possibilities of developing inclusive local policies that respond to the needs of migrant communities and encourage their active participation in social life.
We will focus in particular on the needs of migrant communities in Ljubljana, on the existing challenges and barriers to integration and on the plans of the City of Ljubljana for the development of local integration measures and mechanisms. At the same time, we will raise the issue of political will, institutional readiness and responsibility of the various actors to implement inclusive policies based on the principles of equality, participation, intercultural dialogue and living together.
