Community of Municipalities of Slovenia

The status of representativeness received by the Community of Municipalities of Slovenia at the end of 2002 is an important achievement, since the status means that this community is now also an “official” representative of the interests of municipalities in relation to state institutions. The Community of Municipalities of Slovenia performs a series of tasks for its members, such as: representing the common interests of municipalities in relation to state authorities and international institutions; preparing municipalities' positions and proposals on legislative proposals concerning municipalities; representing local communities in the procedures of concluding collective agreements for employees of municipal administrations and public services; organizing discussions on topical issues of significant importance for local communities; organising trainings for the needs of member municipalities
